steam locomotive 6803 at Birmingham
At the northern end of Birmingham Snow Hill a locomotive was kept as a standby in case of failure and also to shunt the carriage sidings. The locomotive on 7th September 1962 was 6803 Bucklebury Grange, at the time a Stourbridge Junction locomotive. She was built 09/1936 and lasted until 09/1965, in this picture the loco looks in fine condition.
