Class 37 diesel locomotive
Sheffield Victoria Yorkshire 1969
Sheffield Victoria station. Class 37 diesel D6754 enters the station with the Harwich train from Manchester over the Great Central Woodhead route.
A single siding now heads north to Stocksbridge through the unrecognisable remains of Victoria station and over the Wicker arches. Although I knew the station was closing, that all trace would be obliterated was incomprehensible at the time.
