Lanzhou Gansu China 15th November 2014
We departed at 19.40 from Guangyuan for a 34 hour rail journey to Hami and about mid-day the following day we made a station stop in Lanzhou. Although it was only a brief pause it just gave some of us time to run down the front and see what motive power was on the train - China Rail electric SS7E 0024 - and then run back before the doors closed and we departed. We got quite a few strange looks from other passengers I have to admit, not to mention the traincrew.
